I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton and a background in health and wellness coaching and change management consulting. In both roles, I’ve enjoyed supporting others as they navigate change and build habits that help them make real progress toward their goals.

My husband and I spent time living in Ecuador, an experience that had a lasting impact on me. We now volunteer with Refugee Care Collective, supporting families as they rebuild and adjust to a new life. This work that has deepened my appreciation for the power of presence and support.

I’m a mom to three amazing kids, including a son with ADHD. This is something we navigate in our own home, and I know how much time and patience it can take to figure out what actually works. At the same time, I’ve seen firsthand how small changes can make a big difference.

Why am I interested in EF Coaching?

EF Coaching blends my professional experience of championing others toward their goals with my lived experience of raising a son with ADHD. I have seen how much can change with the right support, patience, and implementing small steps in the right direction. I love watching that shift happen, when someone starts to feel more confident and realizes they’re capable of more than they thought.

Grace Julia Okoroji, LPC Associate Therapist Here’s why I became a therapist…

My path into counseling has been shaped by a lifelong love of learning, a deep curiosity about people, and a desire to help others find ways to cope, heal, and thrive. For many years, I have worked in health informatics and clinical quality analytics, helping clinicians make data driven, empirically grounded decisions. I love the problem solving and the pursuit of clarity, and I have often found myself drawn to the human stories behind the data.

Over time, I realized that I am especially energized by supporting people directly. Sitting with individuals in their struggles, helping them make sense of their experiences, and walking with them toward hope and healing is both a privilege and a calling. That realization led me back to graduate school to obtain a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling in 2008, equipping me for this deeply meaningful work.

My Christian faith has always been central to my life. It shapes the way I understand compassion, presence, and service. As a Stephen Minister for many years, I have walked alongside individuals facing grief, loss, and life transitions. Those experiences parallel my work as a therapist, where I aim to offer a steady, respectful, and grace filled space for people navigating difficult seasons.

I am married and the mother of three adult children, and my personal and professional experiences have strengthened my belief that healing is possible, growth is real, and no one should have to walk through life’s challenges alone.

Some of my education and experience…

I hold additional graduate degrees in Health Informatics and Applied Parasitology & Medical Entomology, along with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. My counseling experience includes: • Inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy • Biopsychosocial assessments • Individual, group, and family therapy • Christian counseling • CBT, multicultural, existential, and psychoeducational approaches • Clinical work with anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, grief, bipolar and related disorders, chemical dependency, and homelessness related stressors

I continue to work as an informatician, supporting clinicians in making evidence based decisions that impact quality of care — a parallel to the way I practice psychotherapy: grounded in research, guided by compassion, and tailored to the needs of each individual.

Hi, I’m Mark. As the Founder and Clinic Director of the Center for Intention and Focus, I would be honored to guide you on your journey from chaos to clarity. I transitioned from a previous career in financial planning because I wanted to do more than build portfolios—I wanted to help individuals build truly rich lives full of deep meaning, purpose, and engagement.

As a dually licensed therapist (LPC-S and LMFT) and Board Certified in Neurofeedback (BCN), my approach goes beyond just applying band-aids to symptoms. We will seek out the root causes of your struggles. By integrating science-backed therapies like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with advanced tools like Neurofeedback, I help clients navigate ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Together, we will create a welcoming space where you can identify your core values and take committed action toward the life you want to live.

I hold a Master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. Outside the clinic, I am a husband, father, and a student of the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. You can usually find me chasing my kids or dog, reading, practicing mindfulness, traveling, or cheering for the Denver Broncos.

Practicum Counseling Student, Executive Skills Coach, & Neurofeedback Technician

I believe that humans are designed for purpose, yet we often find ourselves reacting to life’s pressures rather than leading with intention. With 20 years of experience as a worship director, fine arts educator, and coach, I have spent my career helping people uncover their unique design and move toward what matters most.

How We Work Together As a counselor in training, I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you break the patterns that keep you feeling “stuck.” My approach is highly collaborative: we identify the cognitive obstacles in your way and build the emotional regulation skills needed to navigate them. Whether you are navigating a career transition or seeking deeper personal alignment, my goal is to help you move through life’s challenges with clarity and grace.

Executive Skills & Neurofeedback Modern life is often a pressure cooker of “to-dos” and perfectionism. I specialize in helping high-capacity individuals re-center through Executive Skills Coaching. This isn’t just about a calendar; it’s about developing strategies for focus, impulse control, and emotional resilience.

To support this work, I utilize Neurofeedback, a research-backed pathway to physically retrain the brain for better poise, sleep, and mental clarity. These tools helped me re-center around my own prime motivations, and I am excited to bring that same capability to your journey.

The Personal Side My path to this work was shaped by my own experience with the freedom counseling can provide. Having navigated the “rewarding climb” of the therapeutic journey myself, I consider it a privilege to serve as a guide for others on that same path.

I share my life with my wonderful spouse and our two amazing girls. Whether we are camping near a grand vista, hiking, or cooking together, we value time spent connected to nature and each other. Our home is also run by a Husky and a Wheaton Terrier, which means my free time is largely spent vacuuming, grooming, and playing in the yard. I’m usually halfway through a fiction series, and I especially appreciate when a great story is captured well in cinema.

Ready to Start the Journey? Growth begins with the willingness to commit to the process. Whether you are looking for the clinical support of counseling, the strategic edge of executive coaching, or the restorative power of neurofeedback, I invite you to take the first step toward breakthrough.
